MC9500-K Soft Reset - Warm Boot
1. Put out battery from device for couple seconds. 2. Put battery back again. 3. Press the Power button, wait for device to switch on.
MC9500-K Hard Reset - Cold Boot
1. Please press Power button to start-up device.
2. Open Main Menu > Settings > Security.
3. Open Security options type in lock code. (Default code is 0000 or 1234)
4. Select Erase/Reset afterwards go to reset device.
5. Read the disclaimer, pressing Yes will confirm operation.

Follow the instructions included in the package for installing the package onto the device.
2. Simultaneously press the Power button and the 1 and 9 keys.
3. Immediately, as soon as the device starts to boot and before the splash screen is visible, press and hold the left scan button.
4. Insert the MC9500-K into a powered cradle or cable.
5. The MC9500-K updates and then re-boots.
6. After successful clean boot, the calibration screen appears.

1. Press and hold the Power Button until a Menu appears.

6. The device will reboot.

1. Download the Cleaner package from the Support Central web site.
Follow the instructions included in the package for Installing the package onto the device.
2. Copy the Cleaner package to the root directory of a microSD card. (using a host computer)
3. Remove the battery.
4. Install the microSD card.
5. Replace the battery.
6. Connect the MC21XX to AC power.
7. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the SD card folder.
8. Open the OSUpdate folder.
9. Double tap on the file: 2100c60Aen_SD.lnk
10.When the Update Loader application finds the appropriate file, it loads the package onto the MC21XX.
A progress bar displays until the update completes.
11.When complete, the MC21XX re-boots.

1. Download the Factory Reset file from Zebra Support Central web site.
2. Copy the M36N0KXXVRFCP14000.zip & M36N0KXXVRFCP14000.zip file to the root directory of the On-device Storage.
3. Press and hold Power Key for 2 seconds and select reboot in the poweroff popup menu.
4. Press and hold Volume Up key as soon as the device starts rebooting.
5. When Android boot logo appears on the screen, release the Volume Up key.
6. Wait until recovery menu appear.
7. Use Volume Up and Volume Down keys to navigate menu items.
8. Use Enter key to select menu item.
9. Select “apply update from sdcard”
10.Select the M36N0KXXVRFCP14000.zip or M36N0KXXVRFCP14000.zip package on /sdcard
11.When update is complete , select “reboot system now” to reboot.
